To further enhance the publicity and promotional efforts in the Mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area, as well as to provide support for Hong Kong residents and enterprises there, the HKSAR Government established the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Promotion Centre (Promotion Centre) in Guangzhou. Spearheaded by the Greater Bay Area Development Office, the Promotion Centre has forged strategic co-operation with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Invest Hong Kong and relevant Mainland organisations and institutions. The Promotion Centre organises different types of activities from time to time, including seminars and study missions, etc., to promote the opportunities in the Greater Bay Area to Hong Kong people and enterprises pursuing development in the Mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area, and to gain a better understanding of their needs so as to provide them with practical assistance. Through different forms of exchanges and promotion activities, the Promotion Centre also encourages Mainland talents and enterprises to capitalise on the distinctive advantages and position of Hong Kong under “One Country, Two Systems” to explore the global market through Hong Kong, thereby fully leveraging Hong Kong’s dual roles in “going global and attracting foreign investment”.
